Workout Breakdown!
Hi everyone! Today I’m going to breakdown my last workout video! I will explain what each exercise targets on your body. I want you guys to be able to identify what workouts are beneficial for your workout journey. Additionally, this will help you create a workout plan that is geared towards what your fitness goals are. My some exercises from the last video involved:
1. Leg Lifts- target the entire abdominal area, including the lower abs.
2. Push Ups- targets your shoulders, triceps, and chest.
3. Squats- targets thighs, core, and glutes.
4. Front Raise- targets shoulders.
5. Calf Raises- targets the gastrocnemius and soleus.
As you can see, I did a workout that involved some lower body and upper body. This workout is beneficial for me because I am trying to focus on my legs more than my upper body. If you decide to target one area over the other that works! However, it is still beneficial to incorporate the rest of your body for your workouts. For example, I workout my legs 2 times a week and do 30 mins of cardio. On the other days, I’ll workout my arms, chest, shoulders, etc. This is one way to get a full body workout and still target your area of interest! Additionally, this allows for you to rest your muscles in between your workout days.
Another way to organize your workouts is to do full body workouts each week but incorporate new exercises to diversify your workout plan. One day you can do barbell squats and the next workout you could change it to wall squats. This helps you learn new workouts and change up your exercise plans to keep it fun and engaging. For those who workout at home, this plan will allow you to change your workout depending on where you workout easily. So if you decide to go to the park, you can still get a full body workout in, that has some exercises that can be done at home.
Next time, I will be posting about interchangeable exercises! I would to hear everyone's feedback on what exercises they would like to know more on. Comment below your favorite exercise or an exercise you're interested in! Remember, you can always follow the blog for immediate updates on new posts!
You could also add back exercises. Like Superman where you lie on the ground and hold the superman pose for a few seconds to work your lower back.
